Cool Swish (Vik Coastline, Iceland)
The rugged coastline along Vik in southern Iceland is a special place full of arches, sea stacks, and interesting rock formations that showcase the geological wonders of the country. This little cove was one of the only spots I found with good wave action, interesting rock shapes, and dramatic light. I used a slightly longer [...]

Raw Power -(Aldeyjarfoss, Iceland)
Aldeyjarfoss is one of Iceland’s most powerful and in my opinion best waterfalls. The power of this falls creates a tidal like surge as water churns violently around this secluded fall. I climbed down to a lower vantage point where waves 2-3ft high swished on rocks all around me. The basalt patterns in this location [...]

The icebergs at Jokulsarlon in southern Iceland are amazing shapes and shades of blue and when they contrast with [...]

Yosemite Valley has many iconic views. The classic Tunnel View is among the most notable. While this image has been photographed a million times, it is still awe inspiring and different in every season and each day. This image was made after a big snow storm the night before. Even though landscape photography is about [...]

Death Valley National park is a destination for many looking for unique landscape photography images. I’ve been visiting the park several times a year teaching workshops as well as looking to get new images to add to my collection. This particular night the desert sunset was amazing. Easily one of the best sunsets I’ve ever [...]

Morning Glory
The Sand Harbor area of Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite areas to explore. There are endless possibilities for photography here. I have tried for many years to find a morning that yielded the conditions I found on this particular sunrise. It was spectacular in every aspect.
