Lake Tahoe National Forest. This grove of Aspens sits high in the forest area above Lake Tahoe. In fall the colors of the trees turns from green to vibrant shades of deep yellow and golds. It’s awesome. On this day we spent hours just wandering through different groves looking for compositions we liked. For this shot I was trying to give the sense of scale one of these groves has, in addition to the beauty of color and shape. Next to Redwoods, Aspens are my favorite trees to photograph.
