Yosemite National Park. Yosemite is one of my favorite parks to photograph. It’s sheer size is impressive. Even with the typical iconic images of the park, there are enough places to explore to hopefully find some hidden treasures or unique takes on old classics. This image was taken while walking along the Merced River. To get this shot I had to creep out on to some pretty thin ice, and take a deep breath that I wouldn’t break through as I was composing my shot. This image won 2nd place in the Canon’s Photography in the Parks contest.
