Death Valley National park is a destination for many looking for unique landscape photography images. I’ve been visiting the park several times a year teaching workshops as well as looking to get new images to add to my collection. This particular night the desert sunset was amazing. Easily one of the best sunsets I’ve ever photographed. I found these salt flats near Furnace Creek, one of Death Valley’s only settlements. The recent rains and overflow from the Great Basin area causes these areas, which are lower than sea level to fill up with water. The curves and shapes of the waterways created very interesting, and different perspectives of one of the nations most interestting parks.
