Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Whiskeytown is my home turf. Out of all the lakes in this area…this is one of my favorites, and due to its proximity to my house, I can watch the weather and be there within 15 minutes to photograph anything that looks promising. This particular shot was just one of the many amazing sunsets I’ve been blessed to witness on this lake. This particular sunset was the scene right after a big storm broke, and left the lake basking in an intense golden glow.
