Range of Light

Range-of-Light

Yosemite National Park. This image came from one of the most spectacular light shows I’ve ever seen in the mountains. During a workshop in Yosemite, after most of the other photographers had decided to leave, the light changed and the whole valley began to glow, and the sky exploded in a variety of spectacular colors. It was a treat for our class to be able to see something like this and use it as a learning experience. I took this image as the light left its last glow on the Eastern Sierra. It’s easy to see why they refer to this as the range of light.
