Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Whiskeytown is my home turf. Out of all the lakes in this area…this is one of my favorites, and due to its proximity to my house, I can watch the weather and be there within 15 minutes to photograph anything that looks promising. This particular shot was just one of the many amazing sunsets I’ve been blessed to witness on this lake. This one was so subtle in its beauty….it was just great to see. It was also the first image I took where I felt like I ‘nailed’ the shot as good as it could I ever could.
for a location. It’s one of my all time favorites, and has won several awards.
