A large chunk of ice has washed ashore on the beach outside the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon in southern Iceland. This chunk of ice easily weighed 2 tons or more, and was a site to see. The waves on this beach are constantly hitting the ice, and the form changes all the time, eventually nothing is left. This area was one of my favorite areas of the country to photograph.
