Washed Ashore

A large chunk of ice has washed ashore on the beach outside the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon in southern Iceland. This chunk of ice easily weighed 2 tons or more, and was a site to see. Left Behind

The beach near Jokulsarlon is a graveyard of ice and wandering the shores provides numerous fleeting moments for creating interesting images. This particular evening had spectacular colors in the sky, and I spent over two hours wandering the area making photos.
